When downloading a large number of files OneDrive, the system hangs and reboots on Mac OS

They do not give a damn. Onedrive on Mac has had issues for months with hardly any response for MS. Save yourself even more wasted time and move to Google drive or Dropbox. I am moving all my files to Google drive and it syncs fast with no issues, no freezing, no hours of mysterious "processing changes", no silent one drive client crashes, no freezing of finder when looking for files, no random 10minute waits to sync kB sized files, no system reboots. You don't realise how trylly garbage onedrive is until you use a system that actually works. Also google drive is Apple silicon native and use the new file system rules and it has no issues. It seems the problem is with the serious incompetence of Microsoft engineers not with anything Apple is doing. Rood riddence to this absolute abomination of code

Unfortunately, I can't move to Google. I have specific files for developing applications and websites. Some of the files will not be able to upload to Google. In addition, Google can arbitrarily delete files that it thinks are infringing copyright.

Once I have my files back, I will move. At the moment they are in the cloud only as Microsoft decided to delete all my local content. 4 weeks on & they are still not back on my computer. About 500Gb over a Gigabit connection

This is also happening for me now. Macbook Pro 16" 2019 macOS Monterey 12.4. It started happening with OneDrive 22099.0508, "helpfully" downloaded by Microsoft AutoUpdate without my authorisation on 31st May 2022. I cannot find how to rollback but it is happening on an almost daily basis now and I am losing work.

MICROSOFT NEEDS TO FIX THIS NOW. Speak to Apple, I keep sending them the diagnostic reports after every crash!

Well, same here - OneDrive Standalone Version 22.099.0508.0001 on macos Monterey and a Macbook Pro 2020 i7 32gb.

Started to happen a few weeks ago. Not really reproducable. Seems to be one of the latest onedrive updates.

Heres hoping to a fix in the near future!
