Hi all.

When downloading a large number of files OneDrive, the system hangs and reboots on Mac OS.

It doesn't happen often. Only when a lot of small files are downloaded. Reinstalling OneDrive doesn't help.

panic(cpu 0 caller 0xfffffe00275bbfec): initproc exited -- exit reason namespace 7 subcode 0x1 description: overflow of service activation count during activate. Managed:1. Count:32767. Service:'user/501/com.apple.xpc.launchd.unmanaged.OneDrive File P.805'

They do not give a damn. Onedrive on Mac has had issues for months with hardly any response for MS. Save yourself even more wasted time and move to Google drive or Dropbox. I am moving all my files to Google drive and it syncs fast with no issues, no freezing, no hours of mysterious "processing changes", no silent one drive client crashes, no freezing of finder when looking for files, no random 10minute waits to sync kB sized files, no system reboots. You don't realise how trylly garbage onedrive is until you use a system that actually works. Also google drive is Apple silicon native and use the new file system rules and it has no issues. It seems the problem is with the serious incompetence of Microsoft engineers not with anything Apple is doing. Rood riddence to this absolute abomination of code

I sent feedback through the OneDrive app. But I'm not sure they read them.

Does Microsoft even monitor this forum? Does anyone know the "official" way of raising a bug report?

Same problem here. Happens several times a day and even at night when I'm not working with the MacBook Air M1.

OneDrive version is 22.111.0522.0002 (Standalone) (Apple Silicon)

panic(cpu 2 caller 0xfffffe001fcd3430): initproc exited -- exit reason namespace 7 subcode 0x1 description: overflow of service activation count during activate. Managed:1. Count:32767. Service:'user/501/com.apple.xpc.launchd.unmanaged.OneDrive File P.769'
    Debugger message: panic
    Memory ID: 0x6
    OS release type: User
    OS version: 21F79
Kernel version: Darwin Kernel Version 21.5.0: Tue Apr 26 21:08:29 PDT 2022; root:xnu-8020.121.3~4/RELEASE_ARM64_T8101

    Kernel UUID: ********-****-****-****-************
    iBoot version: iBoot-7459.121.3
    secure boot?: YES
    Paniclog version: 13

This needs to be addressed quickly.

Same problem on MBP 14 and Mac mini M1 that erasing the Mac mini M1's SSD and reinstalling MacOS 12.4 and OneDrive on June 1* didn't fix.

*Installed a new copy of Microsoft Business 365 Premium including OneDrive - now on v 22.099.0508.0001 (Standalone) (Apple Silicon).

Same Kernel Panics reappeared a few hours ago. As others have said, panics/reboots don't occur if OneDrive isn't running and when sync is paused.

We need a solution very soon from Microsoft.
