Hi all.

When downloading a large number of files OneDrive, the system hangs and reboots on Mac OS.

It doesn't happen often. Only when a lot of small files are downloaded. Reinstalling OneDrive doesn't help.

I'm on OneDrive 22.116.0529.0002 beta and still experiencing constant panics.

I'm waiting for a fix for this problem. Judging by the releases, the update should be within 1-2 weeks.

I see that a new version (22.111.0522.0002) has been pre-released. Coming soon to the Apple Store. Hope they fixed this issue.

Sounds like another migration (and expense of moving) to Adobe Cloud again then :-/ and this time I might stay!!!

Reset doesn't help. I have reset about 14 times. I also did a complete uninstall and install. Nothing helps. There are people who reinstalled the Mac OS system. This didn't help either.

Same issue here, so frustrating.

Happening on both my MacMini and MacBook Pro both running:

Monterey Version 12.4

OneDrive Version 22.099.0508.001

Not found the exact circumstances to reproduce, I originally thought it was when syncing a large number of files, but it happened tonight when everything was all synced.

On my MacMini yesterday I ran the OneDrive reset:

To reset OneDrive on a Mac
1. Quit OneDrive. (Select the cloud icon in the top tray, then select Settings > Quit OneDrive.)
2. Find OneDrive in your Applications folder.
3. Right-click OneDrive and select Show Package Contents.
4. Browse to the Contents > Resources folder.
5. Double-click ResetOneDriveApp.command (or ResetOneDriveAppStandalone.command, if you're using the standalone app).
6. Start OneDrive and finish the setup process.
I had no further issues after that although with 300Gb's of photo's it took all day to resync.

It's now happened on my MacBook Pro tonight and I'm willing to reset OneDrive again and leave it syncing overnight to see if it fixes the issue, I just shouldn't have to!!!

I know it's coming as the mouse pointer freezes, then the Mac shuts down and the fans blow a massive sigh of relief, then it restarts but I can't have this unpredictability when I'm in the middle of a Teams call.

I moved everything to Adobe Cloud a while ago when Microsoft forced the files on demand but as they relented in a subsequent update I moved back but I can't keep doing this whilst they figure out what's going on.

Maybe the reset will work (and apologies, I've only read pages 1, 5 and 6 in this thread in case anyone else suggested this.)

I'll report back.
