Excel Stocks not working in Office 365 after installing macOS Ventura v13.0

**Parameters:**Hardware: Mac mini 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i3
Software: Office 365 (v16.66.1)
OS: macOS Ventura (v13.0)
Connected Experiences: All On
Auto Update: Have always been On for both Office 365 and macOS

Additional: Nothing new has been installed on the system for over a year (other than SW updates)

TimeLine:

Two days ago: Microsoft Auto Update hung for hours

- Reinstalled MS Auto Update and was able to update MS apps
- Excel Stocks working fine yesterday

This morning: Received error message: "COULDN'T REFRESH DATA TYPES We need to fix your account. Select Microsoft Excel from the top menu > Sign Out. Then sign back in with the account associated with a subscription."

Steps Taken:
Signed out of Office 365; signed back in. No change, and "Stocks" is missing.
Hard Reboot: No change, and "Stocks" is missing.
Scoured the forums online...pretty much tried everything that I could find...

Removed Office 365 Apps, reinstalled, rebooted, etc., signed in again, verified Connected Experiences all are on, and "Stocks" shows up as a menu item: however, when clicking on it, the same error message appears ('COULDN'T REFRESH DATA...").
Removed Office 365 another two times, reinstalled, rebooted, verified Connected Experiences, etc. etc. and no change.
Nothing has changed with my Office 365 subscription (still active, valid, no additional users, etc.).

Thoughts/Questions:

Is this a problem with the latest version of Office 365 (v16.66.1)?

- If so, is there a way to roll back to an earlier version that we know works (I have researched and not been able to find out how to do this.

Is this a problem with the latest version of macOS (Ventura v13.0)?

- If so, is there a way to roll back to a previous version of macOS?

If this isn't the right forum to solve this issue, can someone point me to where I can get assistance; I'm happy to pay a fee, as I'm over four hours of spinning my wheels with everything I've tried.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can assist.

I just received this from Microsoft:

Thank you for sending Microsoft feedback. Your input is valuable to us and helps improve our products.

Your feedback directly resulted in improvements to Office and we believe your issue has been addressed in the latest version of Office 365. Thank you! To get the latest update, follow the steps here.

For your reference, you submitted the following feedback on November 3, 2022:  MacOS Ventura 13.0 users have to downgrade to Version 16.65 because all newer versions up to beta 16.68 do not support stock quotes anymore! Based on this thread and others, I am pretty sure something went kaflooey with the servers providing the data and that it involves checking licenses somehow. I don't think users have control over this.

I think the best thing to do for each affected licensee is to use the Menu Bar and choose Help > Feedback > I Don't Like Something and file a report.

I too spent a whole bunch of time on 10/28 with Excel support. Signed in and out multiple times. He had me remove Excel and then gave me a link to install a new excel load. Then set the ribbons and tool bar back to default. Played with a few other things and suddenly it worked fine.

Bad news is I shut down over the weekend and then today....... same problem and a couple more hours with excel support..... no solution.

This sounds a bit familiar…Microsoft sent me a message a couple days ago with steps to remove the app and then install another version: Excel_16.65.22091101

Unfortunately, I received the message and had just left on a trip…I won’t be able to try this version until Sunday night.

Question: was this the version # that you installed via MS support?

Support did get me to do various resets before asking me to wait for more suggestions.

Eventually I decided to remove the latest App and installed that version  Excel_16.65.22091101

    Same error message.

I then signed out, signed back in, activated my 365 subscription.

Seems to have done the trick for me. I finally have my stocks updating this evening! I have to say though that when I click on Data/Refresh All … I do get:

"Alert: We refreshed some of your data, but we couldn't refresh all of it because we changed or removed it on our side. For the data we can no longer refresh, we've kept the most recent results". The data looks ok to me, but there could be an issue somewhere…

This is all on Mac Ventura 13 on an M1 Max MacBook Pro 14.

It really seems to me that there was a change made by Microsoft in the latest version which had not been tested fully with Ventura, and that broke the authorization link for these Data Types...
