Excel Stocks not working in Office 365 after installing macOS Ventura v13.0

**Parameters:**Hardware: Mac mini 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i3
Software: Office 365 (v16.66.1)
OS: macOS Ventura (v13.0)
Connected Experiences: All On
Auto Update: Have always been On for both Office 365 and macOS

Additional: Nothing new has been installed on the system for over a year (other than SW updates)

TimeLine:

Two days ago: Microsoft Auto Update hung for hours

- Reinstalled MS Auto Update and was able to update MS apps
- Excel Stocks working fine yesterday

This morning: Received error message: "COULDN'T REFRESH DATA TYPES We need to fix your account. Select Microsoft Excel from the top menu > Sign Out. Then sign back in with the account associated with a subscription."

Steps Taken:
Signed out of Office 365; signed back in. No change, and "Stocks" is missing.
Hard Reboot: No change, and "Stocks" is missing.
Scoured the forums online...pretty much tried everything that I could find...

Removed Office 365 Apps, reinstalled, rebooted, etc., signed in again, verified Connected Experiences all are on, and "Stocks" shows up as a menu item: however, when clicking on it, the same error message appears ('COULDN'T REFRESH DATA...").
Removed Office 365 another two times, reinstalled, rebooted, verified Connected Experiences, etc. etc. and no change.
Nothing has changed with my Office 365 subscription (still active, valid, no additional users, etc.).

Thoughts/Questions:

Is this a problem with the latest version of Office 365 (v16.66.1)?

- If so, is there a way to roll back to an earlier version that we know works (I have researched and not been able to find out how to do this.

Is this a problem with the latest version of macOS (Ventura v13.0)?

- If so, is there a way to roll back to a previous version of macOS?

If this isn't the right forum to solve this issue, can someone point me to where I can get assistance; I'm happy to pay a fee, as I'm over four hours of spinning my wheels with everything I've tried.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can assist.

I just received this from Microsoft:

Thank you for sending Microsoft feedback. Your input is valuable to us and helps improve our products.

Your feedback directly resulted in improvements to Office and we believe your issue has been addressed in the latest version of Office 365. Thank you! To get the latest update, follow the steps here.

For your reference, you submitted the following feedback on November 3, 2022:  MacOS Ventura 13.0 users have to downgrade to Version 16.65 because all newer versions up to beta 16.68 do not support stock quotes anymore! Thanks :)

I have opened a support ticket with MS on this.

I recommend that everyone else do this as well so that MS realize this is a software issue and not a unique edge case that just some users encounter.

Hey, Not sure if you were able to resolve this issue.

But I also encountered this issue and reached out to Microsoft support assuming it was incompatibility between latest version of office and Ventura.

The result: they are asked me downgrade to previous version of excel which I did and the issues was sorted.

    Steps:

    1. First uninstall office and remove the license keys. The links I was given were the following.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/uninstall-office-for-mac-eefa1199-5b58-43af-8a3d-b73dc1a8cae3

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/how-to-remove-office-license-files-on-a-mac-b032c0f6-a431-4dad-83a9-6b727c03b193

    1. Once done, then install the previous stable version that made stocks work in excel. Which I guess was released on October 11, 2022. (16.66)

And I downloaded it via this link (given by Microsoft support) - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdates/update-history-office-for-mac

And indeed, the issue was sorted.

NOW the CAUTION: I am not sure if this uninstallation was the reason (or my troublesome VPN client that I ended up uninstalling it manually), but I did end up spoiling my spotlight search and mail search. Could be completely unrelated but had to share this disclaimer here. My learning - macOS Ventura is not bug free and not tested against various compatible software services (specifically with Apple silicon).

Hope this helps you or someone with same issue - as I too ended spending hours to research about this.

    Cheers.
