Excel Stocks not working in Office 365 after installing macOS Ventura v13.0

**Parameters:**Hardware: Mac mini 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i3
Software: Office 365 (v16.66.1)
OS: macOS Ventura (v13.0)
Connected Experiences: All On
Auto Update: Have always been On for both Office 365 and macOS

Additional: Nothing new has been installed on the system for over a year (other than SW updates)

TimeLine:

Two days ago: Microsoft Auto Update hung for hours

- Reinstalled MS Auto Update and was able to update MS apps
- Excel Stocks working fine yesterday

This morning: Received error message: "COULDN'T REFRESH DATA TYPES We need to fix your account. Select Microsoft Excel from the top menu > Sign Out. Then sign back in with the account associated with a subscription."

Steps Taken:
Signed out of Office 365; signed back in. No change, and "Stocks" is missing.
Hard Reboot: No change, and "Stocks" is missing.
Scoured the forums online...pretty much tried everything that I could find...

Removed Office 365 Apps, reinstalled, rebooted, etc., signed in again, verified Connected Experiences all are on, and "Stocks" shows up as a menu item: however, when clicking on it, the same error message appears ('COULDN'T REFRESH DATA...").
Removed Office 365 another two times, reinstalled, rebooted, verified Connected Experiences, etc. etc. and no change.
Nothing has changed with my Office 365 subscription (still active, valid, no additional users, etc.).

Thoughts/Questions:

Is this a problem with the latest version of Office 365 (v16.66.1)?

- If so, is there a way to roll back to an earlier version that we know works (I have researched and not been able to find out how to do this.

Is this a problem with the latest version of macOS (Ventura v13.0)?

- If so, is there a way to roll back to a previous version of macOS?

If this isn't the right forum to solve this issue, can someone point me to where I can get assistance; I'm happy to pay a fee, as I'm over four hours of spinning my wheels with everything I've tried.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can assist.

I just received this from Microsoft:

Thank you for sending Microsoft feedback. Your input is valuable to us and helps improve our products.

Your feedback directly resulted in improvements to Office and we believe your issue has been addressed in the latest version of Office 365. Thank you! To get the latest update, follow the steps here.

For your reference, you submitted the following feedback on November 3, 2022:  MacOS Ventura 13.0 users have to downgrade to Version 16.65 because all newer versions up to beta 16.68 do not support stock quotes anymore! Hi again,

This is clearly a licensing issue, not an installation or configuration issue.

It appears that Microsoft has adjusted the license requirements for this feature, perhaps unintentionally.

The way to let Microsoft know about this problem is to use the Menu Bar and choose Help > Feedback > I Don't Like Something. Be sure to include your email address so they can contact you if necessary.

Frustrating to say the least, as it is the single most important integration for me, and Excel the single most important application I use...everything else, I can work around. I'm now hour #3 with Microsoft...they are trying; however, so far, the attempts are either things I've already tried multiple times, or ideas that don't work. My desire to stay current with updates with the main objective of keeping software a) functioning and b) as safe as possible, has come back to bite me...and sadly, I know better :(

Update 10/27/22: Microsoft had me reset the Ribbon and Toolbar to the defaults, restart, log in, etc. This didn't solve the problem.

    Hello NA0111

I'm having the exact same problem as you. Since Friday, 10/21, the Data Type has stopped working and my spreadsheet no longer updates. The message is the same as you quoted. I've talked to the Microsoft people about three times and we've done everything: we uninstalled Office, installed it, deleted plist, ran first aid, created a new user for both Microsoft and Apple (they said my Apple account was corrupted), installed a previous version of Excel 16.64, I deleted it through Terminal, and nothing. I gave up trying more things. Good to know it happened to more people, unfortunately lol. A sign that there will have to be some correction. The strange thing is that for OneDrive, online, the Data Type works. I also don't think returning to Monterey would be the solution. But that's it, let's wait for a fix!

I very much appreciate the idea. On the surface, it doesn't appear to be very simple, and my concern would be that after the effort, it doesn't work. So, I think if I revert to a former build, I'd probably go Ventura > Monterey, as I know that Monterey works with the Excel App. That said, it appears these would be the steps to go to a previous Excel build (for those that want to try it). If anyone does try, it would be great if they shared the results.
