Excel Stocks not working in Office 365 after installing macOS Ventura v13.0

**Parameters:**Hardware: Mac mini 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i3
Software: Office 365 (v16.66.1)
OS: macOS Ventura (v13.0)
Connected Experiences: All On
Auto Update: Have always been On for both Office 365 and macOS

Additional: Nothing new has been installed on the system for over a year (other than SW updates)

TimeLine:

Two days ago: Microsoft Auto Update hung for hours

- Reinstalled MS Auto Update and was able to update MS apps
- Excel Stocks working fine yesterday

This morning: Received error message: "COULDN'T REFRESH DATA TYPES We need to fix your account. Select Microsoft Excel from the top menu > Sign Out. Then sign back in with the account associated with a subscription."

Steps Taken:
Signed out of Office 365; signed back in. No change, and "Stocks" is missing.
Hard Reboot: No change, and "Stocks" is missing.
Scoured the forums online...pretty much tried everything that I could find...

Removed Office 365 Apps, reinstalled, rebooted, etc., signed in again, verified Connected Experiences all are on, and "Stocks" shows up as a menu item: however, when clicking on it, the same error message appears ('COULDN'T REFRESH DATA...").
Removed Office 365 another two times, reinstalled, rebooted, verified Connected Experiences, etc. etc. and no change.
Nothing has changed with my Office 365 subscription (still active, valid, no additional users, etc.).

Thoughts/Questions:

Is this a problem with the latest version of Office 365 (v16.66.1)?

- If so, is there a way to roll back to an earlier version that we know works (I have researched and not been able to find out how to do this.

Is this a problem with the latest version of macOS (Ventura v13.0)?

- If so, is there a way to roll back to a previous version of macOS?

If this isn't the right forum to solve this issue, can someone point me to where I can get assistance; I'm happy to pay a fee, as I'm over four hours of spinning my wheels with everything I've tried.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can assist.

I just received this from Microsoft:

Thank you for sending Microsoft feedback. Your input is valuable to us and helps improve our products.

Your feedback directly resulted in improvements to Office and we believe your issue has been addressed in the latest version of Office 365. Thank you! To get the latest update, follow the steps here.

For your reference, you submitted the following feedback on November 3, 2022:  MacOS Ventura 13.0 users have to downgrade to Version 16.65 because all newer versions up to beta 16.68 do not support stock quotes anymore! You can check the version of your install by using the Help menu and choosing Excel > About Excel.

Problems with Data Types including Stocks and Geography began with the 16.66 update. You can get the previous build by restoring using Time Machine:

Learn how to use Time Machine to restore specific files

Alternatively, you can manually remove Excel and install an older build as follows:

    1. In the Applications Folder drag Microsoft Excel to the Mac OS Trash
    2. Restart your Mac
    3. Empty the Mac OS Trash
    4. Install the 16.65 build of Excel with this installer: Excel

I see Microsoft changed the wording on their download site. I can't tell if this is the full installer or just the 16.65 updater. If this is just the updater then you might have to remove the whole suite and reinstall the entire 16.65 suite, which could affect Outlook in unexpected ways.

Yes, using the link to a different build they gave me I got it to work. I shut my computer all the way down at least once a week and I did that over the weekend. When I restarted it Monday morning Excel no longer would update stocks and I got the errors we have spoken of.

As I think about it this morning I am wondering if when I restarted Office updated automatically Excel to the latest build (which now doesn't work with STOCKHISTORY or STOCKS giving the same errors).

When you do try the older build you may want to shut off automatic updates.

I think you need to go back up one build, to Excel_16.65.22091101

For me it worked after installing that build, then signing out of it, exiting it, launching it, activating it then all my links were working as they had for months until my upgrade to Ventura.

I had to do that sign out… etc process to recreate locally my credentials allowing Excel to access these linked Data Groups.

Yep…both Apple and Microsoft agreed it’s not my sheets, not my install, and not my hardware as well.

Maybe I misread, but I thought you were able to get it functioning again?

Also, when you say it didn’t work after shutting down, was that an actual shut down, or did it not work when it went to sleep?

Thanks in advance for any info…I’m trying to figure out how to keep it functioning after installing the different build.
