My Cursor Keeps Turning White in Microsoft Word Without Typing

My cursor keeps turning white in Microsoft Word 2016 (I bought lifetime access), even without typing. I already tried changing the cursor settings so that it wouldn't disappear when typing, but that didn't do anything. After a few seconds the text selection cursor will turn white, and, if I hover over dark text, I can see the cursor outline. This has been happening in multiple documents, so not an isolated incident.

This started after a Microsoft update which forced me to log back into my Microsoft account to use Word about a week or two ago. I've tried everything I can find on the internet, but no luck yet. It's very hard to get work done if I can't see my cursor in Word, so what do I need to do to fix this issue so I can get back to work?

I am not official stuff. Based on my knowledge, you can restore to the default setting by replacing the "dword:00000005" with "-". The item mainly refers to OpenGL of the GPU driver. You can wait until AMD provides a new version of its driver which fixed this problem.

At least AMD China did not look into this problem. Lenovo support team help me with many modifications and even ask me to install a new OS (I refuse), but the problem keeps still.

I have even contact with AMD support team in China, they give me nothing, as I use a OEM AMD product from lenvov, not a direct customer.

Thus I suggest you contact with them, if you are a direct custom.

Mine also came with a Lenovo computer (laptop). AMD won't look into it? It's not like Lenovo can do anything about it, it's not their processor.
