Hello All, you might know that " Microsoft has blocked Macros from running through internet" do we have any permanent solution on this? I have tried the below solution which doesn't work. Save the file to a local hard drive, network share, or cloud share like OneDrive. Open Windows File Explorer and go to the folder where you saved the file. Right-click the file and choose Properties from the context menu. At the bottom of the General tab, you should see a section for Security. Select the Unblock checkbox and select OK. Also, tried to enable Macros through Macros settings through Trust center but didn't work? is there any permanent solution on this? Thanks, AMit

Hi Ryno Thanks for the info. I cant figure out how to remap. I dont do any admin. When I click on 'This PC' I am seeing this: I have run the Ipconfig command and have my IP address Could you guide me as to next steps? Many Thanks Eithne

However the general steps are to go to "This PC", then click "Map Network Drive" and then you specify location of your fileserver (see below).

Where are the MS Office files located that you are unable to open (e.g., are they stored on the hard drive inside your Win 11 computer on a partition other than C:\ drive)? Do you have a local area network with a central file server (e.g., is your Win 11 computer a client on a client/server network, and are your MS Office files saved on a mapped drive called X:\ or some other letter that is actually located on the server instead of your local computer)? Are your problem MS Office files located on a cloud service like OneDrive, etc.? See the support article How to Find the Path of a Network Drive in Windows 10 (which I assume is still valid for Windows 11). I'm a "regular" home user and my 250 GB SSD hard drive only has one main partition (C:\ drive), and the only network location I see on my computer is for the memory card reader on my wireless Epson printer. Hello All,

you might know that " Microsoft has blocked Macros from running through internet" do we have any permanent solution on this?

I have tried the below solution which doesn't work.

Hi,

I think I found a solution to my problem.

The solution is to re-map the network drive to the fileserver name first and then adding that mapped directory to the trusted locations in excel.

Mapped Location:

\fileserver\networkdirectory and not \[192.xxx.xxx.xxx]\networkdirectory

Hope it helps someone out there.
