Microsoft has blocked macros from running

Hi,

We have the same problem macros are being blocked when opening from website. The website is already being added to Trusted sites. But we still having the problem. Our users unable to continue their day to day work.

We have also added the below location to Trusted location under word options. But nothing helps.

Can you please help resolve it?

The problem for me is that I have file that needs to be on a Shared Drive so that others can access it, and it is precisely this drive that is being designated as an untrusted source.

you might know that " Microsoft has blocked Macros from running through internet" do we have any permanent solution on this?

I have tried the below solution which doesn't work.

1. Save the file to a local hard drive, network share, or cloud share like OneDrive.
2. Open Windows File Explorer and go to the folder where you saved the file.
3. Right-click the file and choose Properties from the context menu.
4. At the bottom of the General tab, you should see a section for Security. Select the Unblock checkbox and select OK.

Also, tried to enable Macros through Macros settings through Trust center but didn't work?

is there any permanent solution on this?

I was able to resolve this issue by disabling a custom add-in within Excel > File > Options > Add-ins

Hi Sri and David,

Different users mentioned different steps that have helped resolve the issue. Please check the suggestions below, see if this works for you, you might need try all three suggestions:

1. Re-map the network drive to the fileserver name first and then add that mapped directory to the trusted locations via Trust Center in Excel.
2. Go to Control Panel> Internet Options > Security > Local Intranet > Sites > Advanced, add the IP address of the NAS or NAS name or add the site. Once done, add those sites to the trusted locations via Trust Center in Excel.
3. Remove custom add ins in Excel.
