Hello All, you might know that " Microsoft has blocked Macros from running through internet" do we have any permanent solution on this? I have tried the below solution which doesn't work. Save the file to a local hard drive, network share, or cloud share like OneDrive. Open Windows File Explorer and go to the folder where you saved the file. Right-click the file and choose Properties from the context menu. At the bottom of the General tab, you should see a section for Security. Select the Unblock checkbox and select OK. Also, tried to enable Macros through Macros settings through Trust center but didn't work? is there any permanent solution on this? Thanks, AMit

I am having the same issue: I created a personal finance sheet on our local machine using my wife's local login Logged into the machine as her, when I open the file, I get a macro warning and can easily enable macros The document is stored on a OneDrive folder that we both share (she owns the share) When I switch to my login, I get the red SECURITY RISK message and cannot trust the document Trusted locations doesn't work - I have "Trusted" that folder, it's parent, it's grandparent, checked "include all subfolders" -- NOTHING WORKS Opening properties doesn't work - there is no check/uncheck box to trust the document Adding a certificate isn't an option as I'm not a corporation and can't generate a certificate/signature None of the help files, forum postings or any other microsoft content helps AT ALL. It is unbelievable that Microsoft wouldn't simply allow you to mark a specific document as TRUSTED. That would fix this problem. I read a lot of forum posts here about mapping network drives - that's not applicable here. I am trying to open a spreadsheet from my accountancy firm that needs macros to update to the UK Revenue and Customs. I cannot work out how to unblock the macros. You help simply says select the appropriate options, but does not say what they are. This is hugely frustrating, and new.

One drive, another initiative from Microsoft. I deleted everything associated with OneDrive after Microsoft decided it was a good idea to hijack my file system and take over my documents folder. Disgraceful behaviour. If it weren't for my work using windows, I would scrap it entirely for an Open Source operating system. I agree. Microsoft are behaving like a pagan god! I'd love to switch everything to Open Source, like Ubuntu, but everything Excel that I use is macro-rich. From my stocktaking system to my accounting system (my business is pretty unique) I run somewhere over a hundred macros, some being many pages in length. The files have evolved since 2002. Just too much work to change over! But if there was a magic program that would recognise every macro command in Excel and magically convert ... LOL. In the meantime, I may have found a temporary solution to Microsoft blocking my macros: After an hour reading everything I could on the problem, I shut Excel down and reloaded. It seems to have worked!

I have tried the below solution which doesn't work.

Hi,

I think I found a solution to my problem.

The solution is to re-map the network drive to the fileserver name first and then adding that mapped directory to the trusted locations in excel.

Mapped Location:

\fileserver\networkdirectory and not \[192.xxx.xxx.xxx]\networkdirectory

Hope it helps someone out there.
