Hello All,

you might know that " Microsoft has blocked Macros from running through internet" do we have any permanent solution on this?

I have tried the below solution which doesn't work.

  1. Save the file to a local hard drive, network share, or cloud share like OneDrive.
  2. Open Windows File Explorer and go to the folder where you saved the file.
  3. Right-click the file and choose Properties from the context menu.
  4. At the bottom of the General tab, you should see a section for Security. Select the Unblock checkbox and select OK.

Also, tried to enable Macros through Macros settings through Trust center but didn't work?

is there any permanent solution on this?

Thanks,

AMit

Hi,

I think I found a solution to my problem.

The solution is to re-map the network drive to the fileserver name first and then adding that mapped directory to the trusted locations in excel.

Mapped Location:

\fileserver\networkdirectory and not \[192.xxx.xxx.xxx]\networkdirectory

Hope it helps someone out there.

Regards,

Ryno

    Hey!

I just managed to do this by going into the document in Onedrive in a web browser and then add the URL into the reccomended "Control Panel>Internet Options>Trusted Sites.

    As an example URL:

    https://widgetwonglecompanyltd-my.sharepoint.com

You can strip anything after the ".com" out when adding to the Trusted sites.

I have a similar problem that I can not solve. I am the author of all macros on my computer and nothing is being written to, nor being read from the internet. I am running a standalone copy of Office 2019. Everything was fine I had no problems. I was inspecting an object in the watch window when Excel Stopped responding, requiring a restart. From that time on, when I open any excel spreadsheet, I get an error that the macros have been disabled because they are from an "untrusted" source. I take all the recommended steps but the problem will not clear
