Microsoft Access Memory Issue after December 6 2022 Build15831 Office Update

I've found that Access programs are running out of memory or getting system resources exceeded errors after the recent office update. If I open task manager and watch the memory resources the continue to go up and are never released like they normally do. This was not an issue until the update last week. Working in O365 32 bit access.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks for the confirmation. We've notified the Access team and called their attention to this thread. Keep a watch on it for any further developments.

Hi, we have the same issue at a customer's since build number 15831.20208 (2211). Also running 32 bit office, running an access app with sql backend.

We noticed this first a couple of days ago from a user that was in the insider channel and was already running 2211. The problem disappeared when rolling back to 2210. Now version 2011 has gone to the current channel since yesterday and all users that have updated notice the same issues with memory usage.

Also when checking the task manager, it's noticeable that access uses a lot more memory now.

Is it possibly a problem with the SQL Server database? Are all customers hitting the same SQL Server instance? Hosted instance? On premises instance?

Thanks, "... 10 customers with the issue and each just received the office update." is a pattern.
