Hi,
I have recently upgraded my windows system from windows 10 to windows 11.
Though most of the function are working properly, however PowerPoint has been has been having issue.
Whenever the laptop is put/goes on sleep mode with programs like PowerPoint still running and file being open, then when the laptop is switched back on, the PowerPoint automatically closes or shuts down when laptop goes into sleep.
It is taking lot of time to redo the ppts again as text and other changes are lost if unsaved.
Kindly help resolve this issue.

Steve - you nailed it. I uninstalled McAfee. Didn't even have to reboot. The problem went away. Now I have a different problem... Gotta buy some different anti-virus software!

Glad it worked, but credit where it's due: someone else on this forum figured out the McAfee connection.
And in case it helps with your purchase decision, the same clever soul mentioned that they substituted MS Defender as their AV software. Can't beat the price, and the odds are pretty good that it won't get in PowerPoint's way.
i have the same problem is their anyway to recover the ppt which gets closed after keeping it on sleep mode please tell cause its realy important to recover the ppt on memory of my mum! please help
Go to your TEMP folder and look for files that were created at about the time your computer went to sleep and crashed PowerPoint. If you find a likely candidate, rename it to give it a PPTX file extension and see if you can open it in PowerPoint.
