PowerPoint automatically closes when laptop goes into sleep in windows 11

Yes it seems widespread. Two things to do in the meantime:

1. In power settings, extend your sleep time to a couple of hours when plugged in, and then save your work at reasonable intervals. You can separate "sleep" time from "turn off monitor" time. Extend the sleep time.
2. Be sure to report your issues to MS from within the app. Under "File" find "Feedback" and report in detail.

I have also had the same problems, on top of the autosave feature not working, so the only way my work will save is if I press make a copy of save, which seems ridiculous. This makes the software unusable when you also consider that it also auto closes down every time the screen goes off. I was wondering if this was a problem on my end, or if it was a problem with the overall software because of the windows 11 update.

Yes, I also have the same problem as you, whenever my laptop goes to sleep, the PowerPoint will automatically shut down and all my work is gone without saving it and cant find it in history.

So far happened to my power point, excel havent tried yet.

Only two photos and no videos.

Save it in desktop.

I have same problem since i had Windows 10 Pro with O365. PowerPoint was unexpectedly closing/crashing while laptop was going on sleep. Did some googling and enabled Hybrid Sleep, Changed Sleep mode to Hibernation etc. nothing helped. Then upgraded Windows 10 to 11 and O365 Lic to Microsoft 365, still same issues. Its frustrating and loss data at times…

Exactly the same, no issues on windows 10 with programs closing just a re size to each window post, sleep. Upgraded to fix that and now Powerpoint wont stay open. This needs a fix asap. MS can you advise when a update is coming?
