PowerPoint automatically closes when laptop goes into sleep in windows 11

Hi,

I have recently upgraded my windows system from windows 10 to windows 11.

Though most of the function are working properly, however PowerPoint has been has been having issue.

Whenever the laptop is put/goes on sleep mode with programs like PowerPoint still running and file being open, then when the laptop is switched back on, the PowerPoint automatically closes or shuts down when laptop goes into sleep.

It is taking lot of time to redo the ppts again as text and other changes are lost if unsaved.

Kindly help resolve this issue.

    Hello,

    I have recently upgraded my windows system from windows 10 to windows 11. I noticed a problem with PowerPoint.

    Whenever the laptop is put/goes on sleep mode the opened files of PowerPoint automatically closes or shuts down when laptop goes into sleep. If the file is not saved everything will be lost.

    Kindly help resolve this issue.

    1. mine is office19 student edition
    2. The problem is not with any other office files

    Same workarounds as detailed above, until MS and McAfee arrive at a more permanent solution.

    Same problem, autosave on, does not work, data lost.

    I have the same issue with Microsoft Office 2019 Home & Business. I've also used the sad face feedback. This issue appeared for me since Windows 11 installation (from Windows 10).
