Excel 365 on Windows 11 extremely slow and constantly freezing

This problem started yesterday.

I installed the optional feature update and then the .NET update yesterday, and the problem appeared resolved, but now again today the problem is back?

When ever I change a table filter, Excel freezes for like at least 30 seconds. It's not specific to a particular spreadsheet, it happens on all spreadsheets.

The only other change I've made is change my mouse pointer color and cursor size?

    It appears that when the "Text cursor indicator" is On the the problem occurs, and when it is Off the problem is no longer there!

    I had never used that setting before, and thought it quite handy. Oh well, it's Off now!

    If that could be fixed that would awesome!

    I had the same problem, but changed my <display settings> in the bottom right to <optimalisation for compatibility> (or something similar in English, I have the Dutch version). Problem solved for me.

    Thanks AlehFast, I'll give that a try, because not long after my post reply, Outlook froze! I couldn't even End Task it, and after a logout and logon it then couldn't open my PST files, so I had to restart.

    So far so good. I have even turned back on the "Text cursor indicator" setting, and Excel isn't freezing.

    Now I need to fix the lag in Windows Explorer!
