Excel 365 on Windows 11 extremely slow and constantly freezing

This problem started yesterday.

I installed the optional feature update and then the .NET update yesterday, and the problem appeared resolved, but now again today the problem is back?

When ever I change a table filter, Excel freezes for like at least 30 seconds. It's not specific to a particular spreadsheet, it happens on all spreadsheets.

The only other change I've made is change my mouse pointer color and cursor size?

    Elizabeth, search setting/text cursor indicator.

    I turned it off and are still having issues with Excel.

    I have the same questions, and it's a brand new XPS-13, latest gen. CPU, etc. My previous laptop is also an XPS-13, running Windows 10, so I have a really great base of comparison. The same Excel files under Windows 10, even on an older model, run m-u-c-h faster than on Windows 11. None of the fixes mentioned here really did the job (the accelerator change may have improved it a bit, but Excel is still very slow). I have a feeling that this has something to do with OneDrive sync under Windows 11, but I'm not sure how to disable it without messing out my setup. In any case, I have a feeling that when I'm not online (hence, OneDrive is not active), things are smoother. Does anyone know about this?

    I am having the same problem with Excel 365 after recently upgrading to WIndows 11. Very unresponsive, seems to freeze for a minute or so before I can do anything with it. I even split up some larger files hoping that it would help, but it has not.

    Disappointing to say the least. 😠 I even "disabled hardware graphics acceleration". Still freezes up.

    Thank you EmmanuelTRIPIER, I have been following your advice to clicking on the horizontal "elevator" bar, and it seems to help, although I have to do this repeatedly and is is very frustrating.

    PLEASE...MICROSOFT...FIX THIS ISSUE!!!!!

    I tried all the tricks mentioned here... none of them worked..

    I keep having freezing problems, and have to switch from on Excel window to another till it works...
    If anybody has a suggestion, that will be helpful...
