Excel 365 on Windows 11 extremely slow and constantly freezing

This problem started yesterday.

I installed the optional feature update and then the .NET update yesterday, and the problem appeared resolved, but now again today the problem is back?

When ever I change a table filter, Excel freezes for like at least 30 seconds. It's not specific to a particular spreadsheet, it happens on all spreadsheets.

The only other change I've made is change my mouse pointer color and cursor size?

    I was getting extremely slow screen updates. When I move my mouse the buttons and other UI elements would only highlight about once per second. Every time I move the mouse and click I had to wait about five seconds for the display to catch up.

    For me, selecting Optimize for compatibility did not solve the problem. But because it was a display update issue I tried disabling the GPU and that solved it!

    File > Options > Advanced > Display > Disable hardware graphics acceleration.

    Restarting Excel afterward was not required. It immediately started working right.

    This is in Office 2016, but I believe the setting is the same in Office 365.

    My GPU is an Intel UHD Graphics in a new Dell XPS 17 running Windows 11. It's a very high-end machine to be giving such a crappy experience.

    Hello.

    With Windows 11 Excel has been really slowly, every operation cause "not responding" and then work. Bad, really bad.

    Doesn't seem to be the text cursor indicator. Mine is off, still have issues. On large Excel files, which worked fine before (under Win10), Excel freezes.

    I am disgusted with MS products. Even as they keep selling new updates and versions, the improvement has been only on the downside. especially more so when it comes to speed.

    The damn thing never ceases to freeze, not matter how many upgrades of the hardware or the new versions of 365 you keep upgrading to.

    This is a productivity software?
