OneNote Error E000006B blg57

Hi for the last 48 hours i have been getting this error in OneNote. i have the latest updates of software installed for both my mac and onenote on mac.

E000006B blg57

Any help would be very appreciated as its affecting my work, im a teacher and use this a digital workbook for my classes.

Just got this as part of my support case, looks like it should be OK now.

There was service degradation: OP283538

More info: Impact was specific to all versions of Microsoft OneNote excluding OneNote 2016 and web client. Windows 10 desktop client, iOS and Android mobile app versions were all impacted.

Final status: We've confirmed that a recent deployment intended to provide optimizations for service stability inadvertently introduced a regression in service logic, resulting in impact. We've reverted the affecting change and confirmed that impact is mitigated.

Start time: Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 5:30 PM UTC

End time: Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 7:00 PM UTC

Root cause: A recent deployment intended to provide optimizations for service stability inadvertently introduced a regression in service logic, resulting in impact.

The service is restored now.

    I can chime in on this one. I've got 2-3 staff with the same issue, same error message on Windows 10 machines. We're using OneNote for Windows 10 via the MS Store.

    I've tried adding the notebook via different methods, repair/reset/remove and reinstall of OneNote for Win 10 and manually deleting the package files to no avail. Using the same account on another machine seems to work short term but then it too has the same problem.

    The staff member I was testing with had a large number of Notebooks open as well, but since we needed to try get it working she was happy for me to remove it all and start again.

    I've seen similar threads popping up around the internet from the last couple days, so something must have changed in the last few days to have triggered it. I've logged this with MS on my end directly to see what they can come up with.

    Same here, I work for a college as a teacher. I use OneNote for windows 10 from the MS store and giving me the same errors. Have tried reinstalling etc to no avail. Online version seems to sync okay but not really ideal as missing so many features I use daily.

    Have not really had any sync issues in the last year, so something has definitely changed at MS's end; and likewise I have seen lots of help threads created here and on reddit etc in last 2 days. Hope they fix it quick! I wonder if it could have even been caused by the start of school term

    This might not be such a great workaround but it has allowed me to carry on using the App.

    When the sync error comes up on Mac (the !), I right click it to see the error message, then if you keep pressing sync next to the message after about twenty hits it loads and updates.

    Not great but works on iPad too…

    Sorry I haven’t found a solution; I too have reported to Microsoft

    Me ocurre lo mismo, en el portátil no se puede sincronizar, se queda cargando.... y en la surface se han sincronizado la mayoria de las carpetas pero en algunas aparece este código de error

    Same issues with us. All staff notebooks on the Windows 10 app are getting the sync error E000006B blg57
