How to disable Files On-Demand in OneDrive MacOS? It's enforced since the last update ...

For OneDrive home and business, I cannot disable Files-On-Demand since the last update. This is crucial, I need full access to my files at all time.

What is going on? Why would you enforce Files On-Demand on your customers, isn't it enough to enable it by default? My 70GB of cloud data is not local anymore, sometimes I have no internet, you are locking me away from my files. Also making it impossible for me to do full text searches. Files On-Demand is also too slow, waiting a second to display folder contents is too much when you organize things in deep folder structures.

How I can disable Files On-Demand? Will you please stop knowing the best for your customers? We aren't toddlers. Thanks!

If Files On-Demand is enforced by policy, I will leave your cloud service once and for all.

    What update "channel" are you on? I'm on Current (not Preview or Beta) and still on 22.012.0117.0003 with no local storage option.

    That’s the problem now. The trust is broken and you can’t really have that if it’s an SD card, hard drive or cloud backup. I’ve got a Drobo 5D that started playing up recently - unreliable now and poor support so it’s gone - can’t possibly be part of a secure back up for my work. This is a class action just waiting to happen.

    Do Windows’ users have to put up with this kind of **** all the time?

    I seriously consider suing for the damage „caused by deleting my files from my system without warning“ and the hours I spent recovering them. The damage settlement will pay for my lifetime storage space on pCould, which seems to be working fine for now, and the license of Insync.

    And after downloading MY files for days just to get them back (some odd formats were damaged in the process too), I now configured Insync to keep a copy of my files on a local disc. I don‘t know if this is the perfect solution, but it was described here before, and gladly confirm that this works. And I now don‘t trust MS.
