Microsoft Office has Identified a Potential Security Concern

Hi,

Starting this afternoon, when I copy an paste an HTML-based wiki file (from Zendesk) into Word, I see the attached error.

I perform this operation numerous times, and never saw this notice until today. I have Word 365 Win10.

The problem does not occur when I paste a Confluence page.

Can someone clarify this message for me? What do they mean by "Choosing YES will enable updating all fields in this file..." What fields? And are they talking about the source file or target file?

This is a bug in the current build - Microsoft is aware if the issue and working on a fix - but I have no ETA for when it will be fixed.

    YEAH leusel365! This is GREAT news. We've been battling with this for over 4 months not. Thanks for the update.

    It will likely roll out with the normal updates and may require a combination of updating both Windows 10 and Office.

    I'm in several threads in this community regarding this error, and have mentioned before that I have two machines, one that is rolled back to an older version of Office and a current version of Windows 10, that allows me to get my work done. And another 2nd machine which has the current version of Office and Windows, with the current problem.

    With each new update I check to see if the problem has been resolved, and promise to report back to all threads in this community when it's fixed. [Smile]

    Do we know when the next Release will be? Will it happen behind the scenes? Or as part of one of those updates which announces itself and restarts your PC upon completion? Thanks.

    Hello,

    microsoft called me today, it is a bug and should be fixed in the next release. Let's wait and see if it's true.
