Microsoft Office has Identified a Potential Security Concern

Hi,

Starting this afternoon, when I copy an paste an HTML-based wiki file (from Zendesk) into Word, I see the attached error.

I perform this operation numerous times, and never saw this notice until today. I have Word 365 Win10.

The problem does not occur when I paste a Confluence page.

Can someone clarify this message for me? What do they mean by "Choosing YES will enable updating all fields in this file..." What fields? And are they talking about the source file or target file?

This is a bug in the current build - Microsoft is aware if the issue and working on a fix - but I have no ETA for when it will be fixed.

    The 2008 is a Version, not a year. :) it means the update was compiled in 8/2020. He's in the semi-annual channel - it updates 2x a year and is always behind the current channel, which is Version 2105.

    There is no Help > About tab - but the About Word button (in your screenshot) will bring up the dialog you are probably looking for.

    What version are you on?

    HI,

    I had a coworker try it. He saw no error.

    But looks like he's on old version of Word:

    Never knew there was something called Word 2008.

    Where do I find the HELP--ABOUT tab in 2016/365?

    The page is restricted to my company and its users; accordingly, I can't provide the link. I'll have a co-worker try it next week. And, yes, I "trust" our own pages. :)

    I can also reach out to Zendesk next week.
