Word (Mac) Zoom issues

Hi, I´m working in Microsoft Office 365 for Mac. When zooming in on my trackpad the view jumps to a random page while the curser stays where I was trying to zoom in. I've tried reinstalling Word and have done all updates available.

Any suggestions?

    Just one observation on this very annoying problem - in my hands, the zoom bug only occurs if there is an image on the page. If the page only has text, pinch to zoom works fine. To be more precise, if there is only text, there is a slight shift after zooming (still not perfect), while if there is an image on the page Word moves to focus on a completely different page after zooming. Do others see the same thing?

    I have the same issue and this has frustrated me to a point where I can't get any work done.

    I'm using Focus Mode as workaround and it seems to work well.

    This is a serious lack of respect from Microsoft. How come this is not solved yet???

    When can we expect this problem to be resolved? It is extremely difficult to work with large documents as it is at the moment.

    Macbook Pro 15 inch early 2013

    MacOS Catalina 10.15.7

    Word version: 16.55.21111400

    Everything is on the latest possible update.
