Printing Envelopes in Word - Blank Page Printing After

Using Word 2016

Printing form letters and envelopes is a large part of my job. For years I've been able to go to the mailings tab, select envelopes, have the address extracted from the letter and print the envelope no problem. As of this week, every time I do this a blank sheet of paper prints out after the envelope. To clarify, there is not a blank page being added to my document, just a blank page being printed out after the correctly printed envelope. One proposed solution I've seen is to disable two-sided printing which I have done and it did not solve the problem.

Update:

While I have not been able to solve the root problem of Microsoft printing an extra page when printing envelopes, I was able to change printer settings to stop the issue. In printer preferences (for my printer, under the detailed settings tab) I turned disable blank page print on. I want to clarify that this is not the cause of the problem, as I have had this setting off for years and never had this issue, but it does fix the problem :)

    I read the entire thread before I responded. We tried the workaround mentioned in the main Word settings (disable blank page). It did not work.

    Good morning:

    We are having the same problems. We will print an envelope from either the pop-up mailings-->Envelope tab OR just typing the address into a blank Word document and then selecting the mailings-->Envelope tab and the printer is still printing a blank page after the envelope.

    The type of printer we are using is HP LaserJet Pro M402dn.

    This started last week.

    Just started using Office 365. I have the same printer I have used for years with no problem. Now the blank page prints. Hope Microsoft corrects this quickly!
