Hello Microsoft Community,
I have Excel for my iPad Air 3. I’ve come across this problem that seems to randomly show itself when I am working on a spreadsheet. When using my apple pencil or fingers, I can click and move around no problem. Yet, sometimes, it then starts to auto-select multiple cells when I click a new cell. I need this to stop! I don’t know if I keep pressing some button? Searching through Google hasn’t revealed anything. I can’t get it to stop unless i restart Excel or turn off/on my ipad. But the problem keeps showing up.
As an example, let’s say I was working on B4. Once this wonky setting takes ahold, a new selection of cells is highlighted using B4 as its starting point if I click any other cell in the Excel spreadsheet.

Has there been any progress on solving this problem. I am unable to use my Ipad Pro for work until thi is resolved.
Yep, same problem here and annoying that its taken months (so far) to address.
We’ve made a follow up on the ticket that we’ve created and our Internal Support team is still investigating this matter and is still working together to come up with an established fix.
We’re asking for your patience and understating and we will update you once they replied.

This should be a 24h-fix! Everything >1 week is absolutely unacceptable!
It appears to be a problem on every single iPad with Excel I have tried it on.
I’m having the same issue, also using ipad pro and its causing signifant delays for me to complete my current spreadsheet.
In addition today I’ve found the app has been crashing right before it will save.
please fix asap!!
