Convert handwriting to text with Apple Pencil on onenote with iPad Pro

Now Apple has implemented it as keyboard input. All apps can use it, but one note does not allow it. I can change section name using apple's handwriting to text, but I cannot take notes. What is going on. This is a freebie now Microsoft, just allow app to use that keyboard.

I too want this functionality. Microsoft: Is really shameful that you do this to paying users of your Office suite.

Just to be clear - if I want to write on a page in say OneNote, what I must do is call up the help dialog box, write there, not post that to Help and insytead copy and paste it to ONeNote?

Try writing in the help dialog box. You will notice the handwriting converts to text as you write. This is how many of the note taking apps work.

You could, I am afraid to say, do what I have done - buy a Samsung tablet with an S-Pen - they really have got the handwriting right. It will write into Notes as manuscript and will convert as it should, or you can use handwriting as a form of keyboard so as you write the converted text appears. I need to use Notes because it is multi-platform etc (and a very good App) but with the Samsung it works out OK. I don't like the Surface pen at all.
