Cursor jumps to the end of the document when deleting a line in Word and have Track Changes enabled (Word for Windows)

I work with a document some others has created. In the document Enter has been jused quite many times to create/start a new line. When I use Backspace or Delete to remove the line and tie the sentencens together and then add a space between the sentences, then the cursor jumps all the way to the end of the document.

When a turn off Track Changes, then it does not happen. I would assume this to be an error/flaw i MS Word and wonder if it is a workaround for the issue or if it would be fixed. I need to have Track Changes enabled.

It happens for me in "Simple Markup", the one I prefer to work in. The only mode it doesn't happen in is "All Markup", but that's an absolutely useless mode to work in when you're doing a heavy edit.

If you do decide to work in "All Markup" (as a workaround), note that you can use the settings in the Advanced Track Changes Options dialog box to choose which markup should be shown and which markup should be hidden in the "All Markup" view.

Report the issue to Microsoft via File > Feedback > Send a Frown.

Thank you. It's actually Help>Feedback>I Don't Like Something [Send a Frown], at least in MS Word 16.51.

Stefan, I'm afraid it still jumps to the end of the document when using "All Markup" without "Insertions and Deletions" showing (from the "Show Markup" button). There would be no point in using the Advanced Track Changes Options dialog to set insertions and deletions to "None" -- that wouldn't be tracking the changes at all.

That is discouraging. For some people, All Markup appears to be working better.

It is clear that the symptoms are different on different systems.

I am having this exact problem, with a 240 page document. I'm also working in Word (Office 365 subscription) on a Mac (MacOS Cataline - up to date). It is infuriating to constantly be shunted to the end of the document, and is wasting an enormous amount of time.
