Cursor jumps to the end of the document when deleting a line in Word and have Track Changes enabled (Word for Windows)

I work with a document some others has created. In the document Enter has been jused quite many times to create/start a new line. When I use Backspace or Delete to remove the line and tie the sentencens together and then add a space between the sentences, then the cursor jumps all the way to the end of the document.

When a turn off Track Changes, then it does not happen. I would assume this to be an error/flaw i MS Word and wonder if it is a workaround for the issue or if it would be fixed. I need to have Track Changes enabled.

I reported a similar issue to the Office team in June. For a description of the specific symptoms, see https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_word-mso_win10-mso_o365b/word-screen-jumps-after-saving-in-web-layout-and/074b2ed2-aca5-49e9-9f78-2d6adf721935.

If the steps to reproduce are different in your case, do post back with details.

This is not quite the same problem. As described by others. my cursor suddenly jumps to the end of the document when I click at the end of a paragraph. To oversimplify, track changes also plays up and obscures some text (until switched off) or does not show my paragraphing. Switching off TC makes it better, but it still happens. Updating Office today seems to have reduced the frequency of the problem, but it still happens every few pages.

Are there other similarities or differences compared to the thread I linked to? For example, is the problem with a specific view?

I edit in Print Layout view. I don't know whether it's pertinent or not.

HOWEVER, it's been MONTHS and WE'RE STILL SITTING HERE LIKE IDIOTS wondering WHAT IS MICROSOFT DOING, if anything, about this horrible problem?!?

MICROSOFT, WHAT THE- ? SERIOUSLY? THIS IS NOT CHEAP SOFTWARE!!!!!! RESOLVE THIS ALREADY!

Do we have any legal options here?

    Seriously disgruntled and disgusted.
