For the past week and a half, the microsoft powerpoint app on the ipad continuously has been crashing whenever I try to use it. Prior to this, it worked just fine but the problems started recently. It sometimes crashes when i try to open a powerpoint, and sometimes crashes mid note taking after working for several minutes. I use this app for class and I have an exam coming up, and it has been very frustrating trying to take notes when my latest notes keep disappearing every time it crashes. Is there any way this can be fixed?
I have looked at other people who have had the same issues. I have tried restarting the app, uninstalling and reinstalling, updating. None of it has worked so far. In terms of file sizes even presentations that worked perfectly before are crashing now. I cannot recall if there was an app update in the past week or so, but other than that there have been no changes to the ipad or powerpoint. My ios is up to date and so is the app.

I agree the handwriting notes seems to cause it to happen more quickly. This is the main reason i use the app.
Having the same issue even after internal support's suggestion. The app will not even load now. Attempts to open the last presentation that was used and crashes before the presentation loads.

I am using an iPad 7th Generation with iPadOs 14.6 and I have the same problem on the Powerpoint version 2.50 (21061002). The app keep crashing especially when I am using Apple pencil to write notes in it. I noticed that this problem was occurred after the updating of iPadOs 14.6.

Is there any update on a fix for this issue from your team yet. PowerPoint is still crashing on my iPad despite the last advice, for many of us. This has been over a month now and I’m paying an office 365 subscription. Urgent fix is now required.

This continues to be an issue far into August. App is unusable, crashes often, and autosave often doesn't capture changes in between crashes. I've wasted hours on this tonight alone. Where is there progress towards a fix or a temporary solution? Does saving to different locations or OneDrive provide a solution? Is there an action that's causing the issue? I'm writing notes on slides -- is it this functionality that's crashing the software?
