Microsoft powerpoint on Ipad Air keeps crashing

Hello,

For the past week and a half, the microsoft powerpoint app on the ipad continuously has been crashing whenever I try to use it. Prior to this, it worked just fine but the problems started recently. It sometimes crashes when i try to open a powerpoint, and sometimes crashes mid note taking after working for several minutes. I use this app for class and I have an exam coming up, and it has been very frustrating trying to take notes when my latest notes keep disappearing every time it crashes. Is there any way this can be fixed?

I have looked at other people who have had the same issues. I have tried restarting the app, uninstalling and reinstalling, updating. None of it has worked so far. In terms of file sizes even presentations that worked perfectly before are crashing now. I cannot recall if there was an app update in the past week or so, but other than that there have been no changes to the ipad or powerpoint. My ios is up to date and so is the app.

    Hey Esther!

    So I literally just got off the phone w someone who has been trying to help me with this since my issue started a couple weeks ago. I've uninstalled and reinstalled like 4 or 5 times and that only ever seemed to be a temporary fix and I was slightly annoyed when they suggested that AGAIN. But. They had me do it again and this time, it seems to be working better... The trick to it though is to uninstall, restart the iPad, and THEN reinstall it. I'm not sure how that makes a difference, but I think somehow it did. Before when I'd uninstall, I didn't restart before installing again. So hopefully this time it fixes the issue.

    Still keep crashing. Ver.2.54 is worse than previous ver. The app crashes faster

    The best, and really the only advice I can give after weeks of dealing with this, is to sign into the account you use on your personal computer (or make a new account if you don’t have one) on the iPad Microsoft app (so you’re signed into both on the app), and save a copy of all the PowerPoints from your school microsoft to the personal one. So far, it works if you can get the PowerPoint you’re trying to make a copy of work with you for a minute or two, or you do it on a computer rather than the iPad/tablet.
