Microsoft powerpoint on Ipad Air keeps crashing

Hello,

For the past week and a half, the microsoft powerpoint app on the ipad continuously has been crashing whenever I try to use it. Prior to this, it worked just fine but the problems started recently. It sometimes crashes when i try to open a powerpoint, and sometimes crashes mid note taking after working for several minutes. I use this app for class and I have an exam coming up, and it has been very frustrating trying to take notes when my latest notes keep disappearing every time it crashes. Is there any way this can be fixed?

I have looked at other people who have had the same issues. I have tried restarting the app, uninstalling and reinstalling, updating. None of it has worked so far. In terms of file sizes even presentations that worked perfectly before are crashing now. I cannot recall if there was an app update in the past week or so, but other than that there have been no changes to the ipad or powerpoint. My ios is up to date and so is the app.

    Thanks for letting us know about this. We’ve gathered the information you’ve all provided about the issue in the PowerPoint for iOS version 2.50. To check on this further, we’ve raised this to our Internal Support so they can also investigate what may have happened and may be causing the app to crash. For now, we’ll just need to wait for their recommendation, and we’ll update you once we got their response.

    Hello I have an I pad air 4th generation. Just installed the app for PowerPoint as well. The iPad is brand new, and I am also having this issue. I can’t even get the app to stay open now. It has gotten progressively worse. I have a student account with my university. Both the 365 app and PowerPoint app crash almost instantly. I need this to work for classes for my medical school, SOS!.

    Thanks everyone for standing by on this concern. We’ve got an update from our Internal Support and the following steps are suggested by them that can help in addressing this concern about the crashing of the PowerPoint for iOS. Please see these:

    1. Close all the Office for iPad apps. To do this, press the Home button on your iPad twice, swipe to find each Office for iPad app, and then swipe the preview screen up to close each app.
    2. Go to iPad Settings.

    In Settings, tap to select one of your Office for iPad apps such as Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.

    1. Under RESET, tap Reset <app name>. (Word for example)

    1. Slide to enable Delete Login Credentials.

    1. Start one of your Office for iPad apps (PowerPoint) so that your credential is deleted.
    2. Sign in using your Microsoft 365 Organization ID account.

    Once done, please check if the PowerPoint for iOS will still crash so we can have this reported back to our Internal Support for further investigation.

    Please respond to this thread to let us know how the issue progresses. Similarly, if you have more questions, please inform us by replying to this post.

    Hi Louie,

    I had tried that before and tried it again upon your request. Result, Powerpoint crashed after less then a minute. Buy the way,, I am using the Office (All in one) App, not the separate Word,Excel an Powerpoint apps.

    Any other idea's because this is makes Powerpoint unusable for about 2 week now!
