Hello,
For the past week and a half, the microsoft powerpoint app on the ipad continuously has been crashing whenever I try to use it. Prior to this, it worked just fine but the problems started recently. It sometimes crashes when i try to open a powerpoint, and sometimes crashes mid note taking after working for several minutes. I use this app for class and I have an exam coming up, and it has been very frustrating trying to take notes when my latest notes keep disappearing every time it crashes. Is there any way this can be fixed?
I have looked at other people who have had the same issues. I have tried restarting the app, uninstalling and reinstalling, updating. None of it has worked so far. In terms of file sizes even presentations that worked perfectly before are crashing now. I cannot recall if there was an app update in the past week or so, but other than that there have been no changes to the ipad or powerpoint. My ios is up to date and so is the app.

One other thing that has helped me is to have the file open on my desktop/laptop computer 1st before and then open it up on my iPad. I then leave it open on my computer and then take my iPad with me and PPT will usuall work. I cancel the file that tries to open automatically 1st if different than the file that I want to work on. I then open the file that is open on my computer and it usually doesnt crash. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Me too I have the same problem with POWER POINT APP (ver. 2.53.1) with iPad 10.2'' 2020. The issue apperas with larger file with notes. And it is not just a problem of PPT but also ONE NOTE and word have the same bug using the apple pencil. It is incredible how Microsoft has not fixed the bug yet, since at least 2020. Please help us. Writing on document is the new border of taking notes!!!
Did anybody ever get this issue figured out? This issue started a week ago for me and have tried all above troubleshooting, including the resetting/deleting log in credentials. Now I'm logged out and can't get logged back in because PP won't stay up long enough to accept my information, before crashing again.
I've submitted a couple tickets now and no one has been able to help me. I use my ipad for school, as well, and this is an issue. The school won't help because it's a Microsoft app. PowerPoint on my PC laptop works just fine and other ipad students in my class haven't had this issues, either.
Hi. good day. I had tried the solutions above but it was the same situation before ( keep crashing)! It has been so frustrating and I couldn’t open my notes to study. ( however it works on my pc)
FYI, I am using iPad Air 4 (ios15) to open this Microsoft app on my iPad and I subscribed to my school’s office 365.
