Microsoft powerpoint on Ipad Air keeps crashing

Hello,

For the past week and a half, the microsoft powerpoint app on the ipad continuously has been crashing whenever I try to use it. Prior to this, it worked just fine but the problems started recently. It sometimes crashes when i try to open a powerpoint, and sometimes crashes mid note taking after working for several minutes. I use this app for class and I have an exam coming up, and it has been very frustrating trying to take notes when my latest notes keep disappearing every time it crashes. Is there any way this can be fixed?

I have looked at other people who have had the same issues. I have tried restarting the app, uninstalling and reinstalling, updating. None of it has worked so far. In terms of file sizes even presentations that worked perfectly before are crashing now. I cannot recall if there was an app update in the past week or so, but other than that there have been no changes to the ipad or powerpoint. My ios is up to date and so is the app.

Since you’ve already tried some steps such as reinstalling and updating the application itself, then it can be that it has something to do with the PowerPoint app already.     1. Which build/version of PowerPoint app on your iPad Air are you using?
    2. Which iOS version is running on your iPad Air device?
    3. Are you using a PowerPoint app with a Microsoft 365 subscription? If yes, which Microsoft 365 do you have? Is it the Microsoft 365 Family subscription or subscription provided by your school/organization?
    4. Do you have other iOS devices or may know someone that also has a PowerPoint app on it? Can you check if you’ll get the same issue from there using the same version of the app?

    Hello All,

    I have the same problem on my iPad Pro running iPadOS 14.6 an Office version 2.50 (21061002). It is making powerpoint completely useless . I tested it also on my iPhone 7 running iOS 14.6. Sometimes you manage to keep powerpoint open for 30 to 60 seconds... Word and Excel work fine!

    Just to confirm, have you also tried reinstalling the application? Are you using PowerPoint with a Microsoft 365 Family subscription?

    Hi. Louie,

    I am using a Microsoft 365 Family subscription since the last 5 years or so. I tried to reinstall the app several times. This started after the most recent update. Yesterday I even tried re-installing the iPad… but that did not work!

    This is extremely annoying me. I am trainer and use PowerPoint all the time…

    Hello,

    I am using iPadOs 14.6 and Powerpoint version 2.50. My subscription  is  through  my  University.

    I had my  brother  try  it  out  on  his  iPhone  and  he  had  the  same  problems with  a  fully  updated  ios  and   app.

    I also  took  the  ipad  to  an  apple store, where  they  tried  factory  resetting  the  ipad  and  that  made  no  difference.
