Hello,
For the past week and a half, the microsoft powerpoint app on the ipad continuously has been crashing whenever I try to use it. Prior to this, it worked just fine but the problems started recently. It sometimes crashes when i try to open a powerpoint, and sometimes crashes mid note taking after working for several minutes. I use this app for class and I have an exam coming up, and it has been very frustrating trying to take notes when my latest notes keep disappearing every time it crashes. Is there any way this can be fixed?
I have looked at other people who have had the same issues. I have tried restarting the app, uninstalling and reinstalling, updating. None of it has worked so far. In terms of file sizes even presentations that worked perfectly before are crashing now. I cannot recall if there was an app update in the past week or so, but other than that there have been no changes to the ipad or powerpoint. My ios is up to date and so is the app.

I am also having the same problem! Started today during class and would crash within a few seconds. Now I cant even get it open to send myself all of the notes I took this morning.
I am also a doctoral student with dyslexia and I specifically bought my iPad Pro (with a Microsoft 365 school account) to take notes directly on ppt lecture slides and to draw on slides etc. when with patients to help then better understand something/sharing my screen during telehealth, but my ppt 365 app has been crashing every time I try to draw anything. I’ve tried all the suggestions from when Microsoft was contributing to this thread and it continues to crash. Microsoft please find a solution for this issue, I really need to be able to use this tool! Information and aspects of the original presentations are lost when changing everything to PDFs or into Keynote. Thank you in advance!
I’ve been using Office Suites App for a couple days now without issue - writing on slides with Apple Pencil, using the same exact files that crash with the ppt app. So it all looks promising. The only loss in functionality I’ve come across is the ability to pinch/zoom in presentation mode. Which is a feature I use a lot in the classroom.
Where is Microsoft on this? Who knows … at some point, based upon volume of concerns you would think they would chime in.
Anyway, thank you for the Office Suite suggestion.
My entire workflow revolves around my ability to draw on PowerPoint slides on my iPad. This issue is killing me.
