Why is it when I copy cells from Excel and paste it into Gmail, the cells are pasted as an Image?

I usually copy and paste cells from Microsoft Excel to Gmail for work, this was was being pasted as an table of text that I could edit.

Then my computer was reformatted because of some issues and now after trying to use it again for work, I tried copying cells from Excel and pasting it in Gmail as usual, but now the cells aren't being pasted as a table, but as an image, like a screenshot of the cells. Could it be a software I had before or something?

Now the only way I can copy and paste cells from Excel is to go through Word, which adds an extra step.

I tried reinstalling MS Office, and it still didn't work, I'm currently using Microsoft Office Home and Student 2019.

    I don't either, especially since I have to manually create contact lists, etc as they do not seem to import from GMail

    I am facing the same from MS 2016 . It is working fine with MS 365 though

    Hi,

    I am having the same issue.

    If I paste the table in a google sheet and then paste it in the email works fine.

    So seems an excel --> gmail issue.

    Same issue here - bouncing between Excel and Word as a work around but this needs to be temporary as my work needs me to add Excel tables to most emails I send out and this is adding too much extra work/time. Please provide a fix ASAP!!!!

    Tried all the above suggestions and still not working BTW.
