Why is it when I copy cells from Excel and paste it into Gmail, the cells are pasted as an Image?

I usually copy and paste cells from Microsoft Excel to Gmail for work, this was was being pasted as an table of text that I could edit.

Then my computer was reformatted because of some issues and now after trying to use it again for work, I tried copying cells from Excel and pasting it in Gmail as usual, but now the cells aren't being pasted as a table, but as an image, like a screenshot of the cells. Could it be a software I had before or something?

Now the only way I can copy and paste cells from Excel is to go through Word, which adds an extra step.

I tried reinstalling MS Office, and it still didn't work, I'm currently using Microsoft Office Home and Student 2019.

    Try this:

    1. Copy your Excel cells
    2. Paste them onto a Word Document
    3. Then copy from the Word document and paste onto Gmail

    This works for me

    Solution!!!

    Turn off plain text mode.

    Click the "3 dot" menu next to the trashbin on your open email and you will see a check next to plain text mode. Unclick it to turn it off.

    Copy and paste the excel content into word as values and copy from word file, that would work

    I have similar problem using Excel 2013. While copying contents containing data and formula it gets pasted in the same worksheet as a picture. Tried standard simple trouble trouble shooting by stopping and restarting the PC .
