Why is it when I copy cells from Excel and paste it into Gmail, the cells are pasted as an Image?

Try this:

1. Copy your Excel cells
2. Paste them onto a Word Document
3. Then copy from the Word document and paste onto Gmail

I have the same problem. Interesting detail is that I don't have that problem on another gmail account which works in the same chrome browser and I am using the same excel.

I usually copy and paste cells from Microsoft Excel to Gmail for work, this was was being pasted as an table of text that I could edit.

Then my computer was reformatted because of some issues and now after trying to use it again for work, I tried copying cells from Excel and pasting it in Gmail as usual, but now the cells aren't being pasted as a table, but as an image, like a screenshot of the cells. Could it be a software I had before or something?

Now the only way I can copy and paste cells from Excel is to go through Word, which adds an extra step.

I tried reinstalling MS Office, and it still didn't work, I'm currently using Microsoft Office Home and Student 2019.

The same issue I have faced today and got resolved by doing below step (Screenshot Attached)

On composing new message window there is 3 dots on rightmost corner of window

Click on it and untick/deslect the option : "Plain Text Mode". Then try pasting data from cell.

In Compose Email window, click on 3 vertical dots (more options @ bottom right corner), and uncheck "Plain Text Mode".
