Onenote sync issue error E000283C

Hi,

I am continually having sync issues between my 2 Windows 10 computer and mt ipad using Onenote. This has been working fine until last night. The iPad contains the latest changes to one particular notebook and when I try to sync shows an error message " Onenote can't sync your notes at the moment. We'll keep trying' with a code E000283C. Both Windows 10 apps show that the notebook is saved offline and that the computer doesn't appear connected to the internet. Well they ARE connected to the internet and when I try to access the notebooks online they are very slow to load up but eventually get there.

 I have checked the service status page with no faults showing and my onedrive syncs fine so I am assuming that the Microsoft service is at fault here. I have read elsewhere not to log out of the account if there are changes pending as they will be lost but I need to get this resolved.

    Yes, we have a school full of pupils and staff all having the same issue!

    I only assume it's because every school in the UK has gone back to school teaching remotely today and has overloaded Microsoft's servers.

    Happened before Easter with Teams/Assignments.

    I contacted Microsoft support and they advised that it was an emerging issue with Onenote and their engineering team was aware of it. 

    As of today it appears that all my notebooks are now in sync and operating correctly.

    Did Microsoft give you some type of case number (I cannot see any service issues about this on the Office 365 admin console) for this as we are getting the same error here (Mac users using OneNote 16.36 (20041300) which is the current version as of typing).

    I spoke too soon. They did sync late yesterday but as of today (21/4) I am back to the app showing saved offline with no internet connection. 

    This is the same issue i was having early yesterday so its a bit patchy. I have resolved to work off a single source until this sync issue is remedied as it is the safest way to maintain integrity of changes
