OneNote shows weird line when drawing (also lags when drawing) Huion Kamvas Pro

Hi everyone,

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I have a link to a video showing the issue here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VqyMS33GUQ&feature=youtu.be . 

This problem only happens when using my tablet's pen to draw, if I switch to mouse mode, it works fine. I also experience weird lag when using the pen, which you can briefly see in the video.

I really enjoy using OneNote and I don't want to stop, however if I can't get rid of this bug I have no alternative but to find another program. Here are some things I have tried to fix the solution.

  1. Reinstallation. I have reinstalled the product, event completely removing it through powershell then reinstalling it by following some guides, the issue persists.
  2. Looking in settings. I have looked through the settings enabling and disabling multiple options to no avail.
  3. Starting a new page/notebook. I have tried starting a fresh page, and the problem still persists.
  4. Messing with tablet settings. I have messed with my wacom tablet's settings, recalibrating the touch pen and everything but nothing seems to work.

    I'm also experiencing this but mine is much worse, every stroke takes about 1 or 2 seconds to show before showing that weird line. I hope they fix this because this is where I take all of my notes.

    @Spandysriv and @mjwTO, this problem did disappear for me for awhile, but it's back again. I have given up on using OneNote for Windows 10, and I'm instead using the OneNote 2016 app (which is a lot slower, but it at least works). I believe this is the link, and it should import any data that you had on your other OneNote application https://www.onenote.com/download , so you won't lose your work :)

    Experiencing the same problem. And the problem does not occur when using glitter pen style.

    But I cannot take the risk of trying many changes as may lose my notes of last one year of lectures. Is there any solution to this irritating glitch?

    I'm currently seeing this bug in both OneNote for Windows 10 and Snip & Sketch. I have the 2020-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 (KB4566782) running. No issues with MS Whiteboard & Google Jamboard. Using a Wacom Intuos.

    I have no idea what happened, but the problem magically disappeared in all of the notetaking apps. :o

    I am dumbstruck as in....  I have no explanation of what on earth could have happened. :O
