Error message when opening word doc: "Not Implemented" (Word for Windows)

Hi,

When I try to access a word doc from the folder, after clicking on it an error appears that only says "Not Implemented".

I have restarted and updated my computer and used the repair function for Microsoft word, but to no avail. I am fortunately able to access the document by first opening word then opening the document that way, but I would like to simply find the file I am looking for and open it that way.

    Ok I found the key with your link.

    Meanwhile, I tested the issue with another user session, and there is ... no issue at all (until right now).

    And the icons are not the same ones between the two user sessions :

    The left one is from the session where it works. The right one is from the session where there is the issue.

    The pdf icons are not the same, too, for example.

    If anyone is interested, I am having the same problem, with Windows 10 and Office 365. 

    What troubleshooting have you tried so far? Error messages that include "not implemented" could be related to macros/add-ins or they could be generated by an unlicensed product.

    I am having the same problem with 'Not implemented' error.  I can do an Open with MS Word and it works.
