I'm a student that uses OneNote for Windows 10 with my digital pen to write class notes/study and I've recently noticed that the entire computer would freeze after some use. Here are some notes regarding my situation: This issue happens only when I am drawing with my digital pen. Ive never encountered this issue when using OneNote by itself- it only happens when I am using it to draw while watching a Youtube video or if I use it during a conference call (I have a dual-monitor setup) When it freezes, I am unable to Ctrl + Alt + Delete to reach task manager. I need to manually shut the computer down by holding down the power button. If I was watching a Youtube Video or calling someone and my computer freezes, the audio will continue to run and the person on the other side will be able to hear me until about 2 minutes later when that goes away too. This problem doesn't exist in OneNote 2016. The computer freezes about 15 minutes into working on it. I don't know if this helps, but I have a Lenovo Flex 14 (AMD) and use it with the Lenovo Active Pen 2. Thank you!

Yes i have this issue with Surface Pro 5-7, with i5 8GB RAM and 128 SSD. I think the app itself is so huge that it uses so much of the CPU. OneNote and Teams running at the same is just insane usage, im getting like 60-90% CPU usage while these things happen. Its just insane. Im wondering how it runs for those who are using super spec devices.... maybe MAC device might be the way to go...

Sorry, Krsion, not yet. I am still hoping Microsoft to look after it and come with a solution, because it is very annoying and it keeps holding me back on presenting using MSExcel, MSWord and MSOnenote for instance.

I have also the same Problem with my Surface Book 3 and the Surface Pen. I participiate on Online-Meetings with Teams (For my study) and have via Surface Dock an external Monitor connected. And sometimes it freezes after using the penci. The Surface Book I have in front of me in Studio Mode with Onenote W10 open. I thought the issue was due it also gets really hot and I got now a replacement device: A all new Surface Book and it still happens. It completly freeze, audio i can still hear and the only thing i can do is a force reboot. Really annoying and i miss also some of the study and explainations from the teacher. Happy that i now know that i am not the only one with the issue. Hope Microsoft will fix it.
