I'm a student that uses OneNote for Windows 10 with my digital pen to write class notes/study and I've recently noticed that the entire computer would freeze after some use. Here are some notes regarding my situation: This issue happens only when I am drawing with my digital pen. Ive never encountered this issue when using OneNote by itself- it only happens when I am using it to draw while watching a Youtube video or if I use it during a conference call (I have a dual-monitor setup) When it freezes, I am unable to Ctrl + Alt + Delete to reach task manager. I need to manually shut the computer down by holding down the power button. If I was watching a Youtube Video or calling someone and my computer freezes, the audio will continue to run and the person on the other side will be able to hear me until about 2 minutes later when that goes away too. This problem doesn't exist in OneNote 2016. The computer freezes about 15 minutes into working on it. I don't know if this helps, but I have a Lenovo Flex 14 (AMD) and use it with the Lenovo Active Pen 2. Thank you!

I just want to add, it isn't just onenote but also whiteboard. Does anyone have an alternative software to replace microsoft unreliable work system? Hello there. Unfortunately, I can't really think of any software that could replace Whiteboard's functions one-to-one. I can however add to this because since my last post, I've come upon the same issue as you in Microsoft's Whiteboard, much to my dismay. Though to recall, it was even worse considering I wasn't anything other than Whiteboard when my computer froze. Needless to say, I've uninstalled both OneNote for Windows 10 and Whiteboard from my system. That's 2 apps now, so I'm quite a bit more hesitant to suggest anyone get a Windows based 2-in-1 or tablet instead of an Android or Apple device now. Full disclosure though, this time when it happened to Whiteboard, Problem Reports did log that Radeon Software: Host Application (RadeonSoftware.exe) had crashed. I want to note that even if this were a driver issue on AMD's part, it's still Microsoft's software that consistently runs into these issues, and they likely can fix it considering the rest of their Office Suite works perfectly fine.

Hi Didi_999, I've been using OneNote 2016 as an alternative. This problem doesnt exist on that version of OneNote. Hope this helps! Such a disappointment that Microsoft hasn't fixed this problem yet, let alone multiple other issues I've found.

I posted on here a few months ago and have been experiencing this same issue over and over, even after sending my laptop to the Lenovo center to get it fixed. The problem keeps occurring while I use two screens-- one to watch lectures on zoom and the other to write. It's a shame that the main thing I need OneNote for isn't working properly. Such a shame.

Hello there. Unfortunately, I can't really think of any software that could replace Whiteboard's functions one-to-one.
