Copy and Paste Text from OneNote mobile iOS app to the Messages App

Thanks, Bob.  Apple Support was able to replicate the problem on their end today, so they are going to discuss it with their engineering team.  

I just realized I didn't answer your question about how I can tell whether it is plain text or HTML.  The HTML file is a little icon with the letters "html" on it, and underneath the icon it has a file name in the format "FILE_NNNN.html," where "NNNN" is a different number for each paste.

I wanted to ad that I am having same issue since the same update. I did go into Apple for help and they proved that it is a OneNote issue not being updated for Apples current releases.

If copy and paste from email or EverNote and then past into IOS message app they work just fine.

But use OneNote and get the little icon html. Once you get that the person receiving would have to double click the icon to open and then it’s contents are so small and frustrating to read.

Looking forward to an update from OneNote on this issue.

I am a heavy user of coping notes and pasting so I hope this gets resolved in a timely manner.

Uninstalling and reinstalling OneNote could have fixed the issue. However, there is an on going issue with the software of your device due to updates. This might have caused OneNote to malfunction so, I recommend to continue consulting your device manufacturer for this issue and if there would be an update, I will let you know.

Yes, I have deleted and reinstalled OneNote.

I decided to do a full reinstall of the iPhone.  Unfortunately, even that didn't work.  

I have been in touch with Apple Support a few times, and the Apple Community.  Apple support gave me a workaround - paste to Notes, then copy and paste to Messages.  Would rather not do that.

Will continue to work with Apple. Let me know if you think of anything else I might try.

I want to verify if you have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the OneNote app to get a fresh and updated copy? If you haven't, please do so because doing so can help solve the issue. I also suggest contacting Apple support for this concern because this was working fine before the update happened.
