One Note - Hiding completed tasks once completed on Desktop

Where in One Note desktop version is the hide completed tasks from To Do lists. On my phone the completed tasks disappear but on the desktop they all remain making this a useless very long To Do list - finding open tasks is awful. Having to fully delete Tasks in To Do lists in Desktop OneNote leaves no record of ever doing the task. Often I want to check when I completed it - particularly with my work account. There should be an option in the ribbon to hide completed To Do's once completed. If it does exist I would love to know how to do it as I can't find it. 

I have started using OneNote at work and on my personal account for organising and recording daily activities and this flaw is making me have to look at alternatives for To Do lists which is a shame, as the mobile version seems to have the functionality.

    Folks, have you tried using the 'Tags Summary' window and checking the 'Show only unchecked items' option?

    1. OneNote >> Home ribbon >> click 'Find Tags' to open the Tags Summary bar
    2. Click the 'Show only unchecked items' box to hide completed tasks
    3. Choose how to group tags (e.g. by tag name, section, title, date, etc.)

    Thanks - I use tags and the summary page to filter out the other items, however it does not solve the issue.  If I select the box to only show unticked items, then any item that I have tagged as a phone call or a discussion or a project which are or have action items (but where I haven't put an actual to do box) are also excluded from the list.  If I add a tick box to an item I have tagged as a phone call, for instance, it shows up on my summary box twice if I select that all tags be shown.  I want to have my cake and to be able to eat it :)  I spend most of my times working in the "all tags" space, but if I want to print a hard copy of that list off to highlight the action items that have not got tick boxes, it ends up 6 pages long.  Could you make the other icons (phone, email, all the other pretty pictures) tickable to indicate that it is completed?  That may also work.

    I like OneNote and use it all the time but this issue of not being able to hide completed tasks on the desktop version is a total pain. As a result, I do almost everything on my iPhone and only (occasionally) use OneNote on my desktop unless it's to create a completely new note or plan. 

    Please fix this!
