OneNote 2010 all sections and pages are empty! Please help me!

Hello all!

My notebooks are located in the OneDrive cloud storage. I can access and work with my notebooks via web-interface in browser and via OneNote app in my Android phone. But on the OneNote 2010 which is a part of Office 2010 I have this issue when I try to open my notebooks:

"There are no sections open in this notebook or section group"

Also when I try to open notebooks I receive this error message:

How can I solve this issue?

I would be grateful to you.

    OneNote for desktop will not be supported anymore (neither 2010 nor 2013 nor 2016, successively). These desktop software will probably work for some (or more) time, on different operating systems, but no guarantees. Unsupported software also means no safety issues will be repaired!

    And the use of online notebooks with a desktop version will probably never return!

    Microsoft will only continue the development of the UWP-App ("OneNote for Windows 10") in the future.

    That's a bold interpretation of the linked article. I wouldn't bet anything on OneNote for Windows 10 surviving. The fate of the UWP apps is completely uncertain.

    I'm also having the same problem at work and am using OneNote 2010.

    Eventually we're finally moving to Windows 10 so hopefully we'll also upgrade to a new version of Office.... but this sucks not being able to use it in the interim.

    You'd think MS would want people to continue using OneNote and not get fed up and move to a competitor's product like Evernote.

    For now OneNote 2016 which you can download from https://www.onenote.com/download# works. With this version, all my notebooks located on OneDrive appeared a few seconds after starting the appllication and signing in.

    Which Office version are you using with OneNote 2016? You can't use it without any registration with Office, can you?
