OneNote 2010 all sections and pages are empty! Please help me!

I am experiencing exactly the same issue with OneNote 2010 on my computer and the problem started late Jan. 2020.  I uses two computers and interestingly the second computer doesn't have the issue, the OneNote program works perfectly fine there.  Hence, I don't think it's Microsoft server problem, less Microsoft is working to fix it as stated.  Somehow, OneNote 2010 on my first computer can no longer communicate with OneDrive and I suspect the problem arose from Windows 10 updates.

Welcome to the ranks of users with broken OneNote 2010. This is not Windows 10 update problem. As said above this is OneDrive servers issue.

Some people had this problem since 25th of January, some since 12th of February as on this thread. In any case, this is not related to Windows updates. I have Windows 7 and the latest cumulative update which I install was the latest KB4534310 (01/14/2020).

I dunno about it not being a Windows Updating problem--my OneNote 2010 worked fine until my Windows 10 somehow forced itself to update first week of January (ish) and I've been fighting it ever since. Interestingly enough, it ALSO tanked my ability to get to the browser OneNote site too; took me over a month to figure out that issue. (Host file redirection. Long story. Had to reset it.)

I've found a workaround - log in to onenote.com (other routes, like Onedrive and Office do not allow the next step).  Right click on the notebook and select export.  Move the resulting download to another cloud file server (e.g. Dropbox).  Open the file from there using OneNote.   

There may be sync issues, and the online OneNote won't work, but at least I'm back in business with 8 years of useful information back at my fingertips

I actually closed all notebooks. Then I logged in to office365.com, select OneNote, right click a Open in desktop application.

Notebook is now in desktop OneNote back with sync status ok.
