OneNote 2010 all sections and pages are empty! Please help me!

Some problem here on a macbook pro with windows 7  (bootcamp) and onenote 2010.

When I open notebook stored on onedrive, I get them opened but empty (no sections!).

I can even create a new notebook, stored on line, add new sections and pages. It works until I close it and reopen: then it shows empty.

I can access the contents of my notebook only via onenote on line or from another computer running windows 10 and same onenote 2010.

I cannot upgrade to windows 10 on the macbook as late 2011 model has driver problems.

I am surprised that Microsoft has no statements or suggestions on this issue.

I will try to insall onenote 2016 to have a workaround.

If you have Office 2010 and OneNote 2016 (like me), you can use OneNote 2016 to work with notebooks located on OneDrive only.

At first startup of ON2016 after installation the software expects login and refuses to run with my licence Office2010 Home and Student. You can only cancel the startup process and exit. But with the next start, which I did after running ON2010 (and still running), it does work. It even uses the same settings as ON2010 on the same machine (tags, workarea stettings ...).

I can access my online notebooks but I can not open or create local notebooks.

ON2016 states:

To be able to use local notebooks with ON2016, will I need an Office 365 license or can I use an Office2016 Standard (Home & Business) license?

Thanks Bill, I checked OneNote today and it is working, I still don't trust that it will be there later today, I hope Microsoft has it figured out for good.

I also had this problem, although it now seems to have cleared up. During the interim, I was able to use both the Win f10 OneNote app (lame as it is) as well as the web-based access to view and edit notes. It would be helpful if Microsoft would admit that there is a problem and then fix it.
