Printing to OneNote Windows 10 app cuts off margins of all documents with no controls to fix!

My users have been suffering with this every day since we were forced to use OneNote Windows 10 after MS ripped it out of the Office 365 installer.  We are rolling out Teams and heavily rely on OneNote to "print" documents into the Team Notebooks.  I have called o365 support, they told me I now have to pay Windows support since our problem is in OneNote Win 10 and not OneNote 2016 so they no longer support OneNote.  I have submitted feedback via the OneNote Win 10 app, I've submitted in UserVoice, I've commented on other's questions here and also in other's user voice submissions.  I've seen no response from anyone on the OneNote team as to why such a fundamentally simple problem ever made it into the wild and why no one will fix this simple problem.

What is probably most frustrating is that if we print to OneNote 2016 this worked perfectly every time.  If we print the same document to OneNote Win 10 app, it fails EVERY time.

Anyone out there ever print to OneNote Win 10 and see their document cut off on top/bottom left/right margins?  Anyone here on the OneNote team, ever use ONeNote and try to print a document to OneNote win 10?

    Thanks Josh,

      We also have discovered the print to PDF work around.  I'm just trying to get someone, anyone at Microsoft to understand that it just needs to work correctly.  We are heavy Office 365 users and are moving all of our workflows into Teams.  One of the other heavy use programs for us is OneNote and telling my whole company to print to PDF first because Microsoft doesn't understand the basic use of a print driver is like telling everyone in my company to print to a PDF on their desktop before every single time they want to print to a physical printer.  Ridiculous!

    Please know  I am steering my frustration at MS and am very thankful for your response and suggestion.  Just want them to know we expect more efficient workflows from a company like Microsoft!

    Hey Chris,

    I've got the same issue, and would also like microsoft to solve the problem. Another work around that has worked for me is to print to PDF and then insert the printout into OneNote. This is not ideal, but it a works. 

    Hoping Microsoft fixes this issue asap.

    I can absolutely give you more time to look into this.  That is all I really wanted!  Anything you can do to help or investigate or bring this to the attention of people who can fix the problem is better than having you throw me over the fence into the black hole of "User Voice".  Please keep looking into this and please keep me posted of any progress.

    Hi Chris,

    I can understand your feeling because it does not convenient for you to change all existing documents. Can you allow me more time to communicate with the related team once again? I’ll try to deliver your concern and see whether they will have new decisions.

    Before the final reply from them, please temporarily use print to OneNote 2016 as the workaround. It’s able to use OneNote 2016 and OneNote for Windows 10 at the same time. And the new added printer content will be synced from OneNote 2016 to OneNote for Windows 10.

    In the meantime, for the UserVoice link for this case, both Word or OneNote section is proper for this case. Because this issue is related to the interaction between Word margin and Print to OneNote for Windows 10.

    Really appreciate your attention and comments to our products. Your voice is always very important to us.
