Yes, it will be automagically downloaded when ever MS gets around to implementing it.

    .

Sorry, don't hold your breath, it will be years before you see it. Maybe around the time then next (unannounced) version of Office comes out .. 2022, 2023 ... ?

    .

Updating reference styles is at the bottom of MS's priority pile.

    .

Your best bet is to find a Word Template file that supports the style.

    .

For the non-bibliography parts of the style you will just have to buy the style guide and do it manually ...

    .

Or, beg your prof to let you use APA 6 ...

    .

Actually, a better bet is to find a 3rd party tool, probably online that supports the style. Use it to generate all of your references and import them into the Word doc.

    .

@ Install additional Word reference styles (Mac + Windows) https://www.captiga.com/2013/05/install-additional-word-reference.html

If you use Microsoft Word (2007, 2011, 2013) build in reference (citation) manager you may encounter that not all modern reference styles are present. For example a common reference style “The Harvard referencing style” is not included by default in Word.
    .

I don't know if these 3rd party tools support APA 7 yet, but here they are

In Microsoft Word, you can automatically generate a bibliography (or other similar document requiring citations) of the sources you used to write your paper. Each time you add a new citation to your document, Word adds that source so that it appears in the bibliography in the proper format, such as MLA, APA, and Chicago-style.

It can save you loads of time building and formatting your references, time that is understandably valuable and would be better served working on your paper. Don't want to spend countless hours typing in information about your educational references, or looking through the style manuals' rules? No problem! BibMe can find your source from external databases, fill in the information, and then accurately format the citation. Or, if you have the source in front of you, you can enter your entries in manually. Students can also learn how to properly cite their references by consulting the style manual guidelines (and plenty of example citations) on the "Citation Guide" page.

No, they won't automatically come with it unless the Office team decides to put it in. Right now I don't know of any such update.

Can you please make sure that Office 365 APA templates reflect the 7th edition? This update is necessary for all students who use Office 365. See here for the list of APA changes - there are many and all of your APA templates will need to reflect these changes (ie you'll need to distinguish between an APA "professional paper" and an APA "student paper" and update things like the APA title page in your templates section). Hi, I'm Amanda, an Independent Advisor. I'm happy to try and assist you today.

Could you clarify what you mean? I know there is a referencing tab which has APA as a possibility, but what do you mean by automatically download?
